Prokofiev’s 'Peter and the Wolf' is one of the most famous pieces of music ever written. The award-winning CoisCéim Dance Theatre brings this timeless story of courage and imagination to the stage this autumn. And this time ... the story is told through the eyes of the WOLF. Filled with dance and live music, this fun and richly theatrical adaptation by David Bolger brings the classic characters Bird, Cat, Duck, Grandfather, Hunters, Peter, and of course the WOLF to life. The extraordinary pianist Conor Linehan will play both the classic score and his own new compositions live on stage. The Wolf and Peter will take children and their families on a thrilling adventure to explore and discover contemporary dance and performance at its best.

Young lovers create comic chaos in this witty ballet. Franz and his financee Hildy are curious about the beautiful girl, Coppélia. Jealous of Franz’s infatuation with Coppélia, Hildy begins to suspect things are not all that they seem. She and her friends decide to follow the perfect starlet home, eventually arriving at Dr Copplius laboratories. Inside, they stumble upon a magical and strange world, uncovering secrets that will change them forever! Setting the much-loved story at a County Fair choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple (Carmen, Romeo & Juliet), with writer Stella Feehily, (actor on Fair City), has created a witty and pertinent ballet inspired by our own obsession with youthful perfection. With its nod to the movie glamour of yesteryear, its captivating dance and the charming music of Léo Delibes and Tom Lane, Coppélia will enchant and enthral audiences of all ages.
