Culture Night Free Screening / 5PM / Ages 3-7 Yrs

Fri 22 Sep 2017 5PM Main Auditorium // FREE // Dur: 45 mins

These magical tales will delight children age 3+ and are a colourful introduction to the cinema experience. There’s a little mouse quietly obsessed with cleanliness, a thrilling high-speed chase through the streets of a French port (on tricycles!) and a reindeer faced with endless avalanches that keep burying his little cabin in the woods. An adventurous tree emerges from the forest sporting a very fetching pair of wellies, a cartoon cat and dog erase their differences and some pitch-perfect piggies who go the whole hog!

Tue 10 - Sat 14 Oct 2017 Draíocht Studio // FREE // Dur: 20-30 mins

Help us in the creation of a new theatre show – especially for babies! Anna Newell ( is a theatre director who makes shows for babies. She works with composer David Goodall and shows that they have made together for babies have been seen off-Broadway and in South Africa as well as all over Ireland and the UK. They are making a new show called ‘I AM BABA’ for the four Dublin Local Authority areas this year and it may very well be the first ever babyshow made in Dublin!
Whenever they make a babyshow, they invite babies and their adult guest into rehearsals to be their creative consultants. We would love your involvement to make this happen!

Anna is now looking for some tiny experts to help the development of this piece at Draíocht! She needs babies aged 0-12 months (each of whom can bring one adult guest) to come along to an informal session. There’s no charge to be involved but capacity is limited to 6 babies per session, so booking is essential through Box Office, tel 01-8852622.

Welcome to the beautifully strange world of White. Full of birdsong and birdhouses, it gleams and dazzles and shines in the night. Two friends look after the birds and make sure the eggs stay safe. The world is bright, ordered and white. But high up in the trees, all is not white. Colour appears. First red … then yellow … then blue! White is a playful, highly visual new show for very young children and is a perfect first-time theatre experience.
