HOMESPUN - A D15 Young Voices Project
NOV 2017- FEB 2018
We invite teachers from Primary and Secondary Schools in Dublin 15 to apply to be part of HOMESPUN, a spoken word, poetry and performance project, with award winning poet Colm Keegan and Visual Artist Micheal McLoughlin.
Over Autumn/Winter 2017 and Spring 2018, Colm Keegan will engage pupils in writing poetry about their place and their home, complementing Draíocht’s theatre project, ‘Home Theatre Ireland’. This is a project about encouraging, supporting and acknowledging the voice of our younger citizens. The project will culminate in a live performance and exhibition in Draíocht’s First Floor Gallery space in Spring 2018.
If you are interested in your school taking part in this project please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01 8098029 for an application form by Friday 29nd September 2017.

D15 Youth Theatre - Spring 2018
JAN – MAR 2018
Throughout this term, D15 Youth Theatre will work on investigating new ideas and horizons. Along with working with Theatre Artists in Residence, Collapsing Horse, over the February mid-term and film-maker Kilian Waters, we plan to push out of our workshop space and engage with some of our national institutions with a visit to Collins Barracks and IMMA as well as engaging with Draíocht’s Incubate Artists to see and respond to contemporary art.
Youth Theatre gives young people aged between 14-18 years a space to create, express themselves and explore ideas. If you would like to find out more about D15YT please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01 8098029 for further information.
