Here are just two areas of our work where you could really help:

FREE FAMILY ART DAYS - HELP US TO UNLOCK A CHILD'S CREATIVITY

Draíocht hosts 8 Free Family Art Days in a year. Each family day attracts upwards of 100 families. Each family day can cost Draíocht between 500 and 800 euro to run, covering the cost of artists, assistant staff members and plenty of arts materials. We've made Space Rockets, Valentines Cards, Masks, Christmas Decorations, Easter Eggs and much more over the years. Families drop in and out between 12 noon and 3pm and take their finished art work home with them. Children are nurtured to explore their creativity and express themselves using a variety of arts practices and exciting art materials, sometimes for the very first time. We believe the arts are vital for children and young people and that they have great art works and ideas inside them just trying to get out. We are committed to finding new ways for these wonderful art works and ideas to be expressed and our Free Family Art Days have proven to be a huge success in delivering on our promise of access for all to the Arts Centre.

ANNUAL CHILDREN'S PROGRAMME, SPRÉACHA

Draíocht hosts an annual international children’s programme, called Spréacha, meaning ‘Sparkling’, in association with Fingal County Council. The programme was first launched as a week long Festival in 2004 but now is programmed throughout the year. Theatre shows for children aged 2-12 years are programmed during and outside school time so school groups and families can enjoy a range of magical performances together, from puppetry to storytelling and music to circus. Spréacha tickets are kept to a maximum price of €5 per ticket, thanks to the ongoing support of our funders, sponsors and donations received. Approximately 4000 young people and their families come every year to our international programme, many from our local area in Dublin 15.

Thank You so much. 100% of your donation will support Draíocht.

A Quick Note About Tax Relief:

Did you realise that a monthly donation of €22 or an annual donation of €250 or more to Draíocht is actually worth way more than that to us?
Irish tax legislation allows for tax relief for charities on donations greater than €250 in any tax year at the rate of tax that you would have paid. Typically a €250 donation is worth over €430 to a charity when they claim the tax back.

All you have to do is fill out a CHY2 form (it's very easy, takes about 5 mins) and post it back to Draíocht and we will be able to claim back the tax you paid on the donation amount from the revenue commissioners.

You are of course under no obligation to fill in this form, but every year literally millions of Euro in charity tax relief go unclaimed. Wouldn't it be fantastic for charities like Draíocht to benefit from hard earned tax Euros at no extra cost to you?
