D15 Youth Theatre - Spring 2021
Jan - Mar 2021
Like last year, we'll be live Zooming on Tuesday evenings, until we can return to work together in the same space hopefully later this year! Youth Theatre facilitators Emily Matthews along with Eimear Morrissey will continue to lead the group.
We will continue to work in fun and exciting ways exploring all things theatre, through improvised games, group work and the on-going explorations of themes of interest, just in a social distancing kind of way.
Youth Theatre gives young people aged between 14-18 years a space to create, express themselves and explore ideas, every Tuesday evening either in person or on line.
Please Note: D15 Youth Theatre Auditions usually take place in October of each year. Due to the ongoing health emergency and government restrictions, auditions have been postponed until further notice.

Create Dance Project - Spring 2021
Like last year, we start this year’s project in a virtual space, but we are looking forward to returning to move and dance together in the same space later this year! For now, we'll be live Zooming on Saturdays.
Create Dance is a fun, innovative dance project, where the dancers love to dance and move and also have an intellectual disability. Dancers and facilitators, Mark Rogers & Conor Donelan, work together with participants and their parents to explore dance and free movement, ending each workshop with the all-important solo dance.
If you have a child with a love for dance and an intellectual disability please get in touch and we can add you to our list for future workshops. Email Paula, email@example.com
During term time, workshops are on Saturdays: Juniors (Age 6-12 yrs) 12.15PM-1.15PM and Seniors (Age 13-17 yrs) 1.30PM-2.30PM. Pre booking for this project is essential.

Light Up - Draíocht Building Projection Commissions 2021
We are delighted to launch ‘Light Up’, an artist led, community engagement Project, presented by Draíocht, in partnership with Fingal County Council. It sees Draíocht commission artists to create a series of images that will be projected on to our building over the darker months of 2021 ... READ MORE ...
Our first projections are works by illustrator Alan Nolan called ‘We Can Be Heroes’. Responding to a brief to create a work that was for children, that had a sense of new beginnings and optimism, Alan responded with a concept around 'kids as heroes'.
He said "We rightly laud our frontline staff as heroes for their work, but kids have been equally brave and have lost a huge chunks of their childhood -- they have missed out on birthdays, parties, school friends and school ceremonies; many have even lost loved ones. Yet they bounce back like heroes. Kids deserve to be honoured as such and to know that the coming year will be better."
We couldn’t have put it better!
