No Smoke Without Fire - SOLD OUT
There’s sixty thousand euro post office robbery money up for grabs and scandal knows no bounds, as six women gossip intermittently in the smoking area of a Dublin pub, leaving a trail of personal information behind them. As the innocent along with the guilty suffer the stings of innuendo and the lashes of sharp tongues, a hilarious tale of crime and its consequences unfolds. A comic drama by Paddy Murray, full of sharp Dublin wit, this story of Larry, the cash, the camper van and the deceased husband are all performed with ease by acclaimed actress, Mary Murray (Love/Hate).
"If ever there was an actor you wanted to see more of, it’s Mary Murray. On stage she has always had a magnetic focus, a presence somewhere between no-nonsense control and a shiver of vulnerability … An actor of tremendous physical versatility and wit." Irish Times
"A one woman tour de force by the highly talented Mary Murray." Michael Moffatt, Irish Mail On Sunday
"Murray is a perfect fit." Eithne Shortall, Sunday Times

Free Bealtaine Movie Screening
On January 15, 2009, just moments after takeoff, US Airways Flight 1549 made a forced water landing in New York City’s icy cold Hudson River. The poise and skill of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger ensured the safety of all 155 passengers and crew. Shortly after, investigators used computer simulations to charge Sullenberger and his co-pilot with having put the passengers and the plane needlessly at risk. Clint Eastwood, working from a superbly structured script by Todd Komarnicki, tells the story of Sullenberger’s multiple ordeals with economy and precision, achieving a tone that echoes its protagonist’s grace under pressure. In 40 years of cinematic storytelling, Eastwood has been obsessed with the mysterious coexistence of the heroic and the ordinary. In Tom Hanks, he has found the perfect performing partner—sober, self-deprecating, self-effacing to embody that theme.
Thousands of older people all over the country take part in the Bealtaine Festival each year during the month of May, celebrating creativity in older age. Draíocht in Association with access>CINEMA are delighted to host the Bealtaine Film Tour here on 16th May, a programme of curated films specially selected with older audiences in mind.

Shout! The Mod Musical
A Nostalgic Nod to London’s Swinging Sixties
The musical follows five young female subscribers to a fictional magazine called Shout!, ‘the magazine for the modern woman’, as they come of age during the liberating 1960s that made England swing. From cover to cover, Shout! unfolds like a musical magazine and travels in time through the decade, chronicling the dawn of liberation of women. Just as Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, Cilla Black and Lulu were independent women with major careers, English (and indeed Irish!) women were redefining themselves in the face of changing attitudes about women. Shout! and its all-female cast reflect that change through the unforgettable music of the era. Featuring some of the top musical theatre performers Ireland has to offer, Shout! wears its heart on its sleeve, but also has its tongue firmly planted in its cheek. The groovy blend of foot-stomping songs, eye-popping fashions, bouffant hairstyles, hilarious stories and mod musings will make you want to throw your head back … and SHOUT!
