The ever popular SongSchool return for what will undoubtedly be another sold out week of music-based curiosity, collaboration and creativity. SongSchool is a week-long project that is ideal for those who are interested in writing and recording songs, performing a concert, making a video, learning about music technology and meeting people who love music as much as they do … not to mention forming bands and having fun!

Summer Projects 2018 - Art Explorers: Adventures of Me
WORKSHOP A: 4-8 YRS / 10AM-12PM €35 - SOLD OUT
WORKSHOP B: 9-12 YRS / 1PM-3PM €35
Artist Deirdre O’Reilly will introduce the children to a range of art materials and artistic experiences. ‘Adventures of Me’ will be an artistic journey for children to explore a wide range of techniques which will stimulate their imaginations to be inventive and harness their curiosity. From print making, to painting, to creating their own clay panels, to making 21st century fossils, and looking at and responding to other artists work, all of which will be curated into their end of week exhibition for all to enjoy.
Draiocht and The Connect Club 2018
This July will be Draíocht’s 11th year working with the Daughters of Charity’s Summer ’Connect Club’ in Laurel Lodge. The camp, catering for young people with varying degrees of intellectual disability aims at providing an outlet that is fun and focused on the individuals likes and interests. In the past our Artists have facilitated drama, dance, music and visual art workshops, encouraging participants to work on their individual creativity and style. Workshops are for ages 12-18 years. Anne Cradden will encourage you to feel and enjoy paint in this very messy, but really fun workshop. Along with finger and toe paining, we will also use brushes and other objects to see what shapes and images we might create in a free and open environment.
DRESS FOR MESS
This series of individual monthly workshops is intended to allow you and your child to explore different art mediums in an open and undirected way, starting with printing, then charcoal, then painting and finally yoga. There will be mess but there will also be fun!

These workshops are designed for children aged 2-4 years. Please respect age limits as each workshop has been designed especially for this age range. All children must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child. These sessions are only suitable for one parent/guardian and accompanying child (without siblings).
