Room 13 Summer School Art Programme
Room 13 Inquiry is in its fourth year in two primary schools in Fingal. Developed by Fingal Arts Office, the programme sees artists share an art studio space with children in the school environment and the children visit exhibitions and places of cultural interest throughout the academic year. In partnership with Draíocht, Fingal Arts Office have designed the first ‘Room 13 Summer School Art Programme' for children wishing to pursue their interest in art outside of school time.
Room 13 has been an important part of the pupil's lives throughout Primary School and we would like to support them to develop this interest in art, education & creativity as they go forward into Secondary School. We have a fun-filled educational programme in store for the children. Each morning the children will meet with professional artists Orla Kelly and Anne Cradden – lead artists on the Room 13 Inquiry initiative, at Draíocht. The week will include a visit to and workshop with Draíocht Artist in Residence Michael McLoughlin and a visit to The RHA, finishing up with a sharing with parents and a cup of tea.
Over the autumn period this partnership between Room 13 and Draíocht will continue to develop with artist workshops, gallery visits and artist talks.
For more information on this project please contact Julie Clarke, Youth & Education Officer, Fingal Arts Office, firstname.lastname@example.org or Sarah email@example.com
This programme is a partnership between Fingal County Council’s Arts Office and Draíocht.
