With Pat Farrell and Shaun Dunne

Inspired by the Mulhuddart Men's Shed, Pat Farrell and Shaun Dunne are creating a casual space for men in the D15 area to relax, unwind and have a chat at Draiocht Arts Centre.
Menitation is a new space for men to come and try some simple meditation exercises, led by local man, Pat Farrell. The session runs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Friday, August 16th., and all you need is some comfortable clothing and a good attitude. If you could also bring a tool or object that in some way represents you too that would be great. There will be some chat, tea, coffee but mostly an opportunity to try and shut off and take some time for yourself amongst some like-minded people.
In a Men's Shed, you come together, talk and normally build something together. This is where our objects or tools come in. We won't be building but we will be talking. Maybe your object is a hammer that you use to fix things around the house. Or maybe it's a watch you were given as a gift from a loved one. The purpose of bringing an object is so that we can have a small chat about who we are and where we're coming from. Don't overthink this part. Anything will do. There's a common conception out there that men don't talk or are bad at taking time for themselves. Our Menitation group is a small way to challenge that thought. We hope to see you there.
No Pre-Booking Required, just arrive on Friday 16 August 2019 from 6.45pm to Draiocht's foyer. All Welcome! See you then!
