Artist Support - The Visit
Rehearsal Week for 'The Visit' ahead of National Tour
25 - 28 April 2022
Four days of development of a new script
Draíocht were delighted to provide free rehearsal space for Gavin Kostick, Aonghus Óg MacAnally, and crew to develop work on a new script for the week of April 25th.
Here's what Gavin had to say about his experience.
"Myself, Gavin Kostick, working with RISE Productions and supported by the Arts Council spent a very happy and productive few working days in the welcoming home of Draíocht.
We were working on a new play based on the The Lower Depth by Gorky - it was full-on Russian gloom, ameliorated by Hob Nobs and the odd Krispy Kreme.
The opportunity provided by Draíocht gave us an invaluable space in which to work, and an increased confidence in ourselves in having such a valued arts space behind us (metaphorically) and around us (literally). Much appreciated."

Draíocht invests significantly in the development of artist's practice by the provision of benefit in kind support such as space, technical support, admin/marketing support and specialist expertise.
Our Artist Support Series, launched during Covid-19, helped 79 artists in 2020 and 50 artists in 2021, with the provision of free rehearsal and creative space.
Space to rehearse, write, create, film, dance, think & plan ... whatever was needed!
With thanks to our funders Fingal County Council & The Arts Council.
