Event 2022 I Hear You and Rejoice

REMIND ME ABOUT THIS EVENT

Following the sell-out success of The Man In The Woman’s Shoes, Mikel Murfi returns with the companion piece I Hear You and Rejoice.

Late in his life, Pat Farnon, a cobbler and all-round contented man, embarks on a journey he had not quite planned and finds that every twist in the road can bring its own surprises.

Written and performed by Mikel Murfi, I Hear You and Rejoice is a second collaboration between Sligo County Council Arts Service, The Hawk’s Well Theatre Sligo, and Mikel Murfi. It was created for the Bealtaine Festival 2015.

"An entire town is summoned into being."
- New York Times
"This is a show that abounds with love."
- Whats On Stage
"A masterclass in the art of the monologue."
- Time Out
"This is pure distilled 100 per cent theatrical magic"
- The Evening Standard
"Murfi is a magical performer"
- The Times
"A love story told with tenderness." - Irish Independent
