GOING ON SALE SHORTLY
An immersive multi-sensory dance theatre performance designed specifically for children aged 8 to 13 years with mild to more complex needs. A magical sea voyage in which the audience and performers set sail in search of hidden treasure. Along the way they encounter rolling waves, sparkling fish and swooping gulls.

This production was originally created in 2021 as part of Jess Rowell’s Dance Residency in Draíocht which was supported by The Arts Council, with additional funding provided by Fingal County Council and Draíocht, Blanchardstown.
The Making Waves 2023 tour is supported by The Arts Council with additional support provided by Draíocht, Blanchardstown, Axis Ballymum, Riverbank Arts Centre & Mermaid Arts Centre. Jess Rowell’s Making Waves at Riverbank Arts Centre received additional support from Kildare County Council Arts Service.
Box office info: Tickets sold individually to classes of up to 8 children (plus 8 teachers/carers). When purchasing tickets the class will receive a date and time for their in-school workshop which will take place on either the 20th or 21st February. We are looking to work with 2 special schools - and target 2 classes within each school. Schools must be within 5km of Draíocht.
Schools Package Example:
- Tickets booked for shows on - Feb 22nd - 10:15am & 12:15pm would include 2 (offsite) in-school workshops on the Feb 20th.
- Tickets booked for shows on - Feb 23rd - 10:15am & 12:15pm would include 2 (offsite) in-school workshops on the Feb 21st.
