Stagezone Theatre School is proud to present another spectacular show with great dance routines, singing and comedy. This highly entertaining production for all the family, will showcase the amazing talent of the students with excerpts from some of the top West End musicals. Our junior members will present a new musical 'Humpty Dumpty' specially written for their age group featuring many fairy tale characters as they try to solve the mystery of whether Humpty was pushed or, did he fall?

This concert is designed to showcase the musical talents of students studying with local music tutors, Mr. John McLoughlin (Guitar) and Mr. Gerry Culloty (Drums/Guitar). The concert will feature a diverse range of music ‘acts’; the focal instruments being the guitar (Electric and Acoustic) and the drumkit. A wide range of students (young and ‘mature’), will perform both instrumental pieces and songs; giving students a platform to perform in a concert setting. It is the aim of Mr. McLoughlin and Mr. Culloty to create a positive and relaxed atmosphere; to allow students to flourish and enjoy the experience of performing.

Continuing on from their successful first year, Miniature Jack will host the second heat for their annual local Battle of the Bands. This event will showcase three local bands who will compete to be a part of the final due to take place in December. There will be a performance by Miniature Jack on the night as they get ready to release their debut EP ‘A Man’s Best Friend’ in October. This is the perfect opportunity for music lovers to get behind and support local bands. All welcome! Tickets are €6.

The renowned Cecilian Theatre Arts have staged many award winning productions at Draiocht including, ‘Oklahoma’, ‘Wonderful World of Disney’, ‘A Little Princess the Musical’, ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’, and the most recent being ‘Meet Me in St Louis’ for which the Cecilians won three AIMS awards. They return to Draiocht with another dazzling production, ‘Let Me Entertain You’, an all around vivacious, uplifting, family variety performance. The Cecilians will take you on a journey of song, dance and drama, from the toe tapping classics to the modern hip hop beats. Includes popular music like ‘I dreamed a dream’ from Les Mis, ‘Don’t Cry for me Argentina’ from Evita, ‘When she loved me’ from Toystory and ‘A Little Princess the Musical’.

With guest appearances by the O’Shea School of Irish Dancing, Castleknock Community College Trad Group and the spectacular aerial artist on silk, Ria Murphy from Aerial Cirque.
