Create Dance
A core part of Draíocht’s Sensory Friendly programming is Create Dance, a fun, innovative dance project, where our young dancers, with a variety of intellectual disabilities, love to dance and move on Saturday afternoons in Draíocht. Dancers and facilitators, Mark Rogers, Kevin Murphy and Jess Rowell, work together with participants and their parents to explore all types of dance and free movement in two age groups:
Junior Group: 5-9 years
Senior Group: 10-18 years
The response from participants has been overwhelmingly positive and the level of engagement increasingly impressive, as families engage in the arts in a fun, creative and stress-free environment. Running since December 2013, this project is suitable for children aged 5-18 years and pre-booking is essential as places are limited.
