Toddlers & Early Arts 0-4

Draíocht’s Early Arts Programme celebrates the limitless imagination of the very young child and the magic that happens when it is combined with the world of artists and the arts.

Once a year, Draíocht transforms into a BIG SPACE for adventure through story, visual arts, music and dance for the very young, with its Toddler Take Over event. A host of wonderful artists and art forms awaits you to start you on your journey of creativity! Draíocht’s annual Toddler Take Over, which began in 2015, invites our youngest citizens to bring their insatiable curiosity (and their adults!) to discover new art forms, explore, create, play, draw and nurture their creative potential, while having fun too.

The Toddler Take Over

We also have an exciting curated programme of live events for early years children, welcoming both National and International companies to our spaces, often combining interactive theatrical adventures with some elements of workshop or exhibition exploration.

And join us for our regular Early Years Workshops for ages 0-4 years. This series of individual monthly workshops is intended to allow you and your child to explore different art mediums in an open and undirected way, like music or dance, squashy clay or painting, in a relaxed fun environment. Sometimes there will be mess … but always there will be fun!

See Whats On For Families

We regularly send artists to local community crèche services, who bring to life a whole range of art forms, from music to dance and visual art to storytelling, for early years children aged 2-4 years and educators. If you are a crèche in Dublin 15 and are interested in getting involved in future Creative Crèche programmes, please get in touch with sarah@draiocht.ie
