Family Events 5-12
We believe that no matter how young you are, you are entitled to a variety of arts and cultural experiences of a high and imaginative quality.
Our professional artists welcome families to a series of events in our Workshop Room and Galleries throughout the year. We also have an exciting curated programme of live events for children of all ages, from theatre to film and music to dance, welcoming both National and International companies to our spaces.
Our ever-popular Family Day workshops are a great introduction to creativity with no pressure to stay within the lines! Try your hand at an array of artistic experiences in the safe hands of Deirdre and Genevieve and other guest artists on regular Saturdays throughout the year.
Draíocht’s Galleries can provide a quiet space for you and your family to explore the work of our artists at your own pace, and in your own time. Collect a free Children’s Gallery Guide from Box Office. We have a take-away bag for each child with paper & pencils and fun worksheets by artist Alan Nolan for you to keep. Look around the building, talk about the artwork, draw with the viewfinder, or play a game of ‘I Spy’ in the gallery!
Draíocht’s Midterm, Easter and Summer Projects provide artistic experiences outside the school environment for children aged 5-12 years, through an established programme of music, film and art projects, with our highly skilled professional artists.
