About Draíocht
Established in 2001, Draíocht is a multi disciplinary arts centre located in Dublin 15. We place the meeting of artist and the public of all ages at the heart of our vision. Draíocht is synonymous with participation and creativity. We programme high quality performances, have a rich and varied children/young people's programme, exhibition, arts participation and artist support programmes, all aiming to engage, challenge, support and connect. Dublin 15 has the highest youth population of any local authority area and double the national average of new communities living here. Our commitment to children and young people is well known. We are the only Arts Centre of our kind with a full time dedicated Children/Youth Arts Officer. In 2023, we will become the first Arts Centre to appoint an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion officer.
We are known for having ambition in our programming and for going outside the venue, into the heart the communities of Dublin 15. Landmark Projects include:
- Home Theatre (Ireland) Project / 2018
- Our Place Our Stories / 2019
- PlayGround Orchestra / 2021 & 2022
