In February, we welcome Paul Heary, an artist residing in Dublin 15 for the last nine years. Paul’s work is focused on traditional painting, working on a small scale. Landscape is his main interest and exploring how the human hand has left its mark in our contemporary landscape. He does not seek a romantic vision, but takes delight in the mundane and the everyday. Seeking out the edge of town, where urban and nature meet. Paul has found inspiration from the Royal Canal and Tolka river and their intersection with the M50.
During the residency in Draíocht, Paul will use the Artists Studio to work on a larger scale, utilising traditional mediums of charcoal drawing and oil paint on canvas and to continue to work on subject matter from the surrounding area of Blanchardstown.
