Colourings - Creative Response Space

Launching on 6th June for Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, and open to the public for the Summer months, visit our Colourings - Creative Response Space in the First Floor Gallery.

This creative space provides a relaxed environment that will help you and your child to further explore and engage in creative play, independently, or together with an artist, and takes inspiration from our Ground Floor Gallery Exhibition 'Colourings' by Lucy Hill, whose tactile colourful works can be enjoyed before or after your visit to the Space.

Colourings is full of soft, squishy sculptures inspired by Lucy’s own scribbles and drawings. Children can explore bright shapes, gentle textures, and wonderful sounds that respond to their movement. They’re invited to play, rearrange the soft forms, and discover how colours and sounds can spark imagination.
