Kathrina Rupit - Dreamcatcher

Light Up - Draíocht Building Projection Commissions 2021

Mon 18 Oct — Sun 14 Nov 2021
Draíocht Gallery Outdoors
Event2021 Kathrina Rupit Light Up

Light Up - Draíocht's Building Projection Commissions 2021 continue with a brand new work created by street artist Kathrina Rupit, in this, her first digital projection artwork.

“My artwork is about finding peace, awareness and joy. As a street artist, I have been sharing my artwork painting walls around the globe whilst learning about different cultures which I've later taken on as inspiration, mixing all these experiences together in shapes textures and colours. Empowerment is my drive, the revolution doesn't start outside, but inside each one of us. I hope my art can provoke a moment of contemplation and even better than that, a smile." Kathrina Rupit

BiogBorn in Tlatelolco, Mexico City, Kathrina Rupit studied at the University of Visual Arts in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Kathrina has lived and work in Dublin Ireland for the last few years and has become a vital part of the vibrant street art scene. As a contemporary artist she has exhibited her artwork internationally in collaboration with galleries, embassies, and non-profit organizations such as Greenpeace, United Nations, Amnesty International; and Street Art For Mankind.
