Marie Hanlon & Rhona Clarke

This exhibition by artist Marie Hanlon and composer Rhona Clarke combines sound and visual elements. The title DIC TAT is taken from a specific work in which a set of drawings are made to the mechanical pulse of a metronome. The metronome ‘dictates’ the pace, beating out precise measures for the drawing hand to follow. Given such restrictions the markings are notably varied, expressive and irregular.
