Thomas Brezing

This exhibition consisted of a number of small works on paper. Some of them were studies for larger canvas’, but most of them existed in their own right as statements and finished, individual pieces.

The figure played a dominant role in these works, with alien landscapes inhabited by ordinary people in extraordinary situations. The past is being re-visited - an uncomfortable history.

Thomas Brezing (born 1969) grew up in Germany and has lived in Ireland since 1992.
