'Fin. - The Harbinger of Death'
Artist Sarah Ward has started her PhD at TU Dublin as part of the ARISE Scholarship programme co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
Sarah’s research title ‘Sites of Learning’ will examine the educational relationship between artists, galleries and the public through practice-based research. We are extremely excited to be partners in this process.
Sarah is an artist educator based in Dublin and regularly facilitates educational workshops in Draíocht. Her multidisciplinary practice explores the relationships between space, embodiment and pedagogy. Through her multidisciplinary practice and research Sarah positions space as a vital means in how we come to learn and experience the self, others and the world we live in.
"I am extremely excited to partner with Draíocht to explore how gallery-based educational programmes, informed by critical-spatial practices, can support more embodied and emancipatory aims, in support of intersectionality." - Sarah Ward
