Blanchardstown Resonance III

Asha Ari is a singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. She is half Ghanaian, half Irish, and grew up in Blanchardstown. She performed twice last year in the Irish Embassy in London, appeared on The Late Late with Niamh Kavanagh and performed at Trafalgar Square for St Patrick's day last year to an audience of 50,000. She recently did a mini Irish tour including supporting the critically acclaimed Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. Her final stop was Forest Fest, where she performed her tracks with a six piece band. Anyone who has seen Asha Ari live has said the same thing, that she has great energy and connects with the crowd.

Asha’s music combines elements of Pop, Soul, and R&B to create uniquely catchy and relatable songs. She has been actively performing in the Dublin music scene since her teens, and has released many singles and an EP entitled ‘Freedom’, and impactful music videos. She is a big fan of mixing genres as done with her single 'God's Hands' with Aziz Ozouss, which was on the RTE Recommend list and has presenters saying the track is 'fresh, special and a wonderful fusion of styles of Moroccan and Irish music'. Her single 'Addicted to your Love' was Track of the Week on Today FM and her releases are played widely on Ireland's biggest radio stations such as RTE and Spin 1038.

One of her latest releases, ‘What Am I’ has critics saying that “Asha puts her own spin on R&B. She has a vision you don’t often see” and “Asha Ari’s new single What Am I is a shining example of the kind of easy going alternative R&B that’s making waves throughout the music scene.” She just released her single ‘Stuck in This Feeling’ which has people saying this is a side to her that they have never seen before. With the stripped back instrumentation and the big vocals the song is filled with raw emotions stemming from breaking through a cycle of feeling ‘stuck’.

Asha Ari’s songwriting inspirations stem from growing up bi-racial, self-love, believing in yourself, mental health, spreading positivity and being true to oneself. During 2024, she successfully curated her second showcase in Draíocht Blanchardstown on Culture Night called 'Blanchardstown Resonance II’ to highlight the musical talent in Blanchardstown/D15 and got to speak about it on FM104 'Select Irish'. In April she did her headline show in Whelan’s which was a full house. Fans left saying it was one of the best shows they have ever seen. She was featured on Songs of Ireland in May, where she performed and put her own twist on Raglan Road alongside Mike Hanrahan and Pat Short. And she performed at Cork Jazz Festival in October in The Pav.

Flynn Johnson is redefining Irish hip-hop with introspective lyricism and sharp storytelling rooted in the realities of Dublin life. Raised in Blanchardstown, Flynn’s music blends personal experiences with cultural commentary, earning praise from Plastic Magazine for its “unfiltered storytelling and profound societal insight.” Influenced by UB40, Eminem, and The Fugees, Flynn has created a distinct voice in modern Irish music while collaborating with top producers like ROC, Hikii, and Odd Numbers.

In 2024, Flynn released Calen Made Me Do It, praised by Beta Da Silva for its “narrative-driven lyrics and unlimited rhyme schemes,” and collaborated on MULA with Wallfella and Tree Sap (Remix’d) with Curtisy. His spoken word piece We Are the Flame, created for O’Neills’ Dublin GAA campaign, highlighted his ability to bridge music and storytelling.

Flynn capped off the year with the release of his introspective single The Soundtrack and a sold-out headline show at Crowbar Terrace, where he previewed tracks from his upcoming debut album, due in mid-2025. As Hot Press describes, Flynn’s precise flow and lyrical depth make him “Dublin’s answer to Ocean Wisdom,” positioning him as a defining voice in the future of Irish music.

Nonzus Magnus is a Dublin-based artist known for his experimental approach to music, blending genres with humour and creativity. Gaining attention in 2017 with tracks like “Mob 100” and “Tina You Fat Lard”, he followed up with the genre-blending EP Rage + Chill in 2018. His work, including tracks like “NUKETOWN” and “Look Both Ways,” showcases a unique sound influenced by everything from Tyler The Creator to Kanye West.

In March 2024, he released his latest single, "Been MIA", further solidifying his presence in the Irish music scene with its distinctive style and creative flair. Known for his innovative approach and self-directed visuals, Nonzus remains a standout voice in contemporary Irish music.

Nigerian-Irish artist Naomi Jeremiah is an artist who heals through writing and is passionate about her pen, navigating her problems beat by beat to help others learn from her. She draws inspiration from artists like Ayra Starr, Tems, and Burna Boy.

Her dream is to impact someone with her music and sing to a crowd of thousands that know her lyrics word for word because they can relate to and understand her as she understands them. She wants to be her listener's safe space.
