Featuring a César-winning performance from Théodore Pellerin, Nino is the heartwarming and celebratory story of a young man traversing the streets of Paris as he reconnects with friends, family, and himself after a life-altering diagnosis.
On the eve of his 29th birthday, Nino is diagnosed with cancer. With only days to go before starting treatment, he spends a weekend coming to terms with the news. As he meets with friends, family, old acquaintances, strangers and even endures a birthday party, Nino reckons with the uncertainty of the months ahead while also opening up to new perspectives on his life, future and relationships.
This accomplished film from Pauline Loquès is a thoughtful and empathetic drama, with a subtle and nuanced lead performance from Canadian actor Théodore Pellerin.
