Artist Support - Thérèse by Louise Lewis | Directed by Veronica Coburn
Dublin Fringe Festival Show
17-28 August 2026
The Wolf Who Cried Boy is a new play for young audiences that is being developed by writer/actor Mark Cantan, musician/composer Sam Kavanagh and actor/dancer Aoife Moore.
Over the two weeks of workshops in Draíocht they used improvisation to create characters and songs for Mark to weave into the script during the next writing stage of development. All three are very experienced in improvisation but this is the first time they are using it in this way to create a scripted play. During the workshops they created over thirty songs and fifty characters to now be whittled down into one play.
This process is supported by the Arts Council.

Draíocht's Artist Support Series helps artists with subsidised or free rehearsal and creative space. Space to rehearse, write, create, film, dance, think & plan ... whatever is needed!
