Artist Support - Orla Kelly

We were so delighted to welcome back Órla Kelly to Draíocht and provide her with a space to create some mesmerising art.

Órla is designing a very large set piece to accompany an upcoming show that will tour to libraries, in collaboration with Joanna Parkes, to children ages 2-5 years, courtesy of Exploring & Thinking Bursary Award supported by the four Dublin Local Authorities.

This tour won’t happen for some time, but taking advantage of some down time in the large spaces of Draiocht, Órla will begin to paint a very large, quirky and magical backdrop to set the scene.

Draíocht's Artist Support Series, launched during Covid-19, helped 79 artists with more than 150 days of free rehearsal and creative space from July-December 2020. Space to rehearse, write, create, film, dance, think & plan... whatever was needed!
