Artist Support - Simona Roveda

Simona Roveda joined us this week (11th - 15th October 2021) as part of our Artist Support scheme, and here's what she had to say:

"This rehearsal week in Draíocht was part of my Artist’s Support Scheme Award by Fingal County Council, as development of my process work for a solo woman clown show project.

I started this process with a mentorship in Italy for two weeks last summer with C’Art Theatre (Florence), to research more material for developing, and I brought it into the rehearsal space to try to build a character for a story from improvisations sketches.

The idea is to create a strong clown character which can make the daily life of a woman into an extraordinary naïve way for connecting with the audience and to share with them her poetic view about humanity."
