Artist Support - LEGROOM Collective
2nd of April
Draíocht came to the rescue and were so delighted to be able to step in to help, after an unexpected Kildare lockdown extension. This brought us to 32 days of ARTIST SUPPORT time over July & August.
"TWENTY FIFTY is part of the Dublin Fringe from 6-19 September and can be seen from the comfort of your own home - but it's anything but a quiet night in! Fionnuala Gygax performs an improvised show with a different unrehearsed guest each show. It's a meditation on resilience, intimacy and the things that give our lives meaning in an ever riskier future of 2050."
This week we're thrilled (and relieved!) to be in Draíocht to do essential technical rehearsals using the high speed internet connection and professional quality sound, lighting and video which we hope will help us exceed your expectations of the production values of an online show.
Shout out to our partners in the Riverbank who would have hosted us this week except for the Kildare lockdown was extended, and big thanks to Draiocht for taking us in and saving the show at short notice!" Dan Colley
Draíocht's Artist Support Series, launched during Covid-19, helped 79 artists with more than 150 days of free rehearsal and creative space from July-December 2020. Space to rehearse, write, create, film, dance, think & plan... whatever was needed!
With thanks to our funders Fingal County Council & The Arts Council.
