Artist Support - LEGROOM Collective
2nd of April
April/May 2021
Draíocht supported Ceol Connected and a team of artists for 4 weeks during April/May 2021, to develop, rehearse, and film Ceol Connected's new show for young audiences called Wunderground.
Usually when Ceol Connected are creating their shows, they like to share excerpts (or 'scratch performances') of the shows as they go, so that children can see the work-in-progress, and so that the artists can also ask questions about how they enjoyed it, if there were confused about anything, if they have any suggestions, etc.
Our technical team enabled weekly online streaming to primary school pupils, from Junior Infants to First class, and their teachers, to enjoy 15-20 minute extracts of the show each Friday.
WUNDERGROUND
Far beneath the big oak tree, another world awaits. It’s the Wunderground, and a new night has just begun. Badger has woken up from his slumber, and is about to go on his usual rounds. Rabbit has returned from her daily adventures to the Woverground. Something however, is not quite right. The earth has become unusually dry, and the tree and its many inhabitants are beginning to get very thirsty! Join Badger and Rabbit on an unforgettable musical adventure as they embark on a daring quest to save their home.
Draíocht's Artist Support Series helps artists with subsidised or free rehearsal and creative space. Space to rehearse, write, create, film, dance, think & plan ... whatever is needed!
With thanks to our funders Fingal County Council & The Arts Council.
