With my time coming to an end at my Draíocht Residency, it feels like four months has flown by. Thanks to Emer and the team at Draíocht Arts Centre for the opportunity of the studio time to experiment and develop new work. I have found the experience to be a really productive period, producing a number of pieces that are a development on my themes of our relationship with our fellow species and the networks we create that they are drawn into.

As I come to the end of this cycle, the space that the residency has allowed me to consider and examine my work, has already given me the concept for my next body of work.
 

The Draíocht Residency Award is a fantastic opportunity for any artist and I am honoured and grateful to have been selected for this award. The space to spread out and the time to reflect on work has been invaluable and allowed me to focus on my painting as well as printmaking.
