22 & 23 January
3-7 June 2019
Draíocht is supporting a week long development (3-7 June 2019) of a new theatre piece for children and adults, by acclaimed Australian theatre company, Slingsby, based on the memoir 'The Boy Who Talked To Dogs'.
This tells the true story of Martin McKenna growing up in Garryowen, Limerick in the 1970's. It is a powerful story of redemption and transformation from a boy who grew up in Ireland and eventually made his way to Byron Bay, Australia, where he now lives as a best selling author and radio personality - celebrated as the 'Dog Man'. With an Irish and Australian Creative team, Draíocht is looking forward to programming this new work in October 2020.
