Penguins, Monsters and a Wicked Fairy
7-25 October 2024
Invitation to Participate
Calling D15 Primary Schools
23-25 October 2024
Matt Szczerek, Draíocht’s Dance Artist in Residence, and dancer/circus artist Alessio Motta are currently in the research & development phase of Monsters, a brand-new contemporary dance show for schools, and they've already visited a number of schools in Dublin 15 earlier in the year.
This Autumn, they will come and dance in your school hall, and then ask your pupils what they thought about the piece - what they think of monsters - what scares them - your pupils input will feed directly into the shows creation.

""My work is driven by emotion and a need to tell stories through the body. It is important that it resonates with young and mature audience, bridging generational gaps and relates to what we all go through as a humanity. I believe the impact of dance can be transformative for many, both performer and audience. My goal in making dance is to create collaborative space and shared experiences that will invite conversation, debate and that will also make you bop!"" - Matt Szczerek
