Somewhere Between Dance & Theatre

Create Dance Senior Group and D15 Youth Theatre members worked together with their facilitators on elements of movements and words to see and explore each other's chosen arts practice.

Both groups, who form a core part Draíocht’s Youth Arts Programme, worked towards a single showing, supported and directed their core facilitators, following a week long project.

Established in October 2011, Draíocht’s highly successful Youth Theatre (D15YT) gives young people aged between 14-18 years a space to create, express themselves and explore ideas. Meeting every Tuesday evening, our 26 strong membership work weekly with our facilitators, from October to June.

Established in 2013, Create Dance is a core part of Draíocht’s Sensory Friendly programming, a fun, innovative dance project, where our young dancers, with a variety of intellectual disabilities and abilities, aged 5-18 year, love to dance and move on Saturday afternoons in Draíocht. Create Dance is currently at capacity.
