Welcome back to Draíocht - Back Open to the Public from 9th July
We are delighted to welcome you back to Draíocht on July 9th with the reopening of our Ground Floor Gallery!
It is apt that our first Exhibition which we can welcome the public back into the building since December 2020, is called 'Journey'. It is also fitting that this Exhibition by Joe Coveney for D15YT is based on young people’s insights into their world and that they are given the platform to share that with us.
It is both a reflective and joyous piece, and if COVID has taught us anything it is to take your joy where you can but also take time to think about your world, the world we all share and how we can impact positively on same.
Taking more time to listen and talk to the artists we work with and the public we serve has been a feature of COVID for Draíocht. Our future programmes will benefit from that investment of time, so watch this space!
And though our doors have been closed over the last few months, Draíocht's team has been busy supporting artists to create work for live and online platforms, working with them to plan residencies, commissions, in-house productions, visual arts exhibitions and delivering a diverse range of experiences for children and young people, all being COVID compliant.
Our Autumn programme will be busy with the quality of work that you know us for. We can’t wait!
